Multimodal Interoperability E-services for Logistics and Enviromental Sustainability

Upgrading of Inland Waterway and Sea Ports
“Central Europe” project designed to improve the infrastructure of ports, of the logistic chain and the railway system, with the objective to enhance cooperation in the multimodal logistic sector. Wide Pilot, in cooperation with NextiraOne, carried out a pre-feasibility study for the dimensioning of the broadband network in the port of Venice. The project was carried out by the Port Authority of Venice (leader). Partners: Viadonau Port of Vienna, Ministry of Transport of The Czech Republic, Regional Development Agency of Usti Region, PLC, General Directorate of Water Management, Freeport of Budapest Logistics Ltd, Trieste Port Authority, E.I.N.E. North Eastern Industrialization bodies, Mazovia Development Agency PLC, Slovak Shipping and Ports JSC, Public Ports JSC, Luka Koper.

CO2 & Ship Transport emission Abatement by LNG
Project co-funded by the European Agency TEN-T, to devise and manage new solutions within the complex scenario of LNG (Liquid Natural Gas), to foster international sales for this product. The project was carried out by the Ministry of Infrastructures and Transportations, Liguria Region, Grimaldi Compagnia di Navigazione, Istituto Portuario e dos Transportes Maritimos, Almazan Ingenieros, Fundacion Valencia Port and Ocean Finance.

Monitoring and Operation Services for Motorways of the Sea
Project co-funded by the European Agency TEN-T, carried out in cooperation with Grimaldi S.p.A., the Port Authority of Livorno, Valenciaport Foundation and the Port Authority of Salerno (APS), to create a prototype of a trailer traceability system in loading/unloading operations of Ro-Ro vessels and the management of the Gate in/Gate out of the port through RFID technology.
Status of the project: completed (pending test of operational pilot).
HArBour traffIc opTimizAtion sysTem
Project co-funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (“MIUR”) and carried out by Grimaldi Spa, Reply Spa, RINA Services Spa, APS and several Italian universities, research centres and SMEs, to develop a safety & security system for ships in a port environment (anti-collision system).
